Nixon at Liberty

Nixon × Liberty was commissioned to celebrate the release of Nixon’s latest collection in collaboration with Liberty. Shot over two days in Biarritz, the film was designed to balance two distinct worlds: the refined, luxury sensibility of Liberty and Nixon’s deep-rooted connection to surf culture.

Rather than approaching the project through performance or product-led storytelling, we chose a more emotional, photographic route. The film follows a woman escaping the intensity of the city — its crowds, noise, and constant motion. As she moves away from the urban environment, the world opens up into vast, quiet landscapes where space and stillness replace pressure and distraction.

Set against the raw beauty of the coastline, her isolation becomes a source of clarity. In the absence of noise, she reconnects with herself — finding calm, confidence, and authenticity. The imagery is deliberate and restrained, using light, composition, and movement to reflect an inner shift rather than an external journey.

The result is a quietly luxurious brand film that feels grounded and expansive at the same time. It captures the elegance of the Liberty collaboration without losing Nixon’s surfing DNA — a story about freedom, escape, and self-discovery told through atmosphere, texture, and timeless photography.
