Don’t See Me Trailer
Don’t See Me (2026) — Official Short Film Trailer
Don’t See Me is a British short film written and directed by Lawrence Jacomelli, with a story by Victoria Taylor and a screenplay co-written by Jacomelli and Taylor. Produced by Beast Films and Fastback Films, the film stars Sacha Parkinson and Meryl Griffiths in an intimate drama exploring agoraphobia, anxiety, isolation and the unexpected connections that can change our lives.
Inspired by Victoria Taylor’s personal experience of agoraphobia, the story follows Maddy (Sacha Parkinson), a young woman who retreats from the outside world after a humiliating panic attack is captured on camera and shared online.
When she discovers a hidden attic, Maddy encounters Dorothy (Meryl Griffiths), an eccentric older neighbour living with her own struggles. An unlikely friendship develops between the two women, gradually challenging their isolation and offering a different perspective on loneliness, ageing and the courage to reconnect with the world.
Filmed in Brighton over three days, Don’t See Me combines intimate performances with a distinctive visual approach developed by Jacomelli and cinematographer Andrew Butler. The film uses a restricted 4:5 aspect ratio to reflect Maddy’s psychological confinement, with the visual language evolving alongside her emotional journey.
The film is entering the international film festival circuit in 2026/2027, with submissions targeting leading British and international short-film festivals.
