Zalando – Joey Bernier
Beast Films produced a brand video for Zalando in collaboration with Lululemon, shot at Zalando’s headquarters in Berlin and centred on athlete and instructor Joey Bernier. The film is built around balance — between professional focus and physical release — using Joey’s real working life and training routine as the narrative spine.
We follow Joey through two parallel worlds: his day-to-day role inside Zalando’s offices, and his life as a high-energy spinning instructor. The contrast is intentional. Clean, structured corporate spaces give way to intense movement, rhythm, and sweat, reflecting how performance, wellbeing, and self-expression coexist rather than compete.
Rather than staging a traditional brand narrative, the film leans into authenticity. Joey isn’t presented as a model or spokesperson, but as himself — someone who lives the values both brands represent. Lululemon apparel is integrated naturally through motion and use, while Zalando’s environment provides context for modern work culture that embraces wellbeing, individuality, and purpose.
Visually, the film balances controlled, observational moments with kinetic sequences driven by music and movement. Editorial rhythm and sound design play a key role in connecting the two worlds, reinforcing the idea that energy doesn’t switch off when work begins — it evolves.
The result is a brand film that feels human, contemporary, and grounded, positioning Zalando and Lululemon within a shared mindset: one that values performance, balance, and authenticity in both work and life.
