Ikea “Discarded”

Ikea “Discarded”

Beast adopted a new approach for this film, guided by a single rule: nothing could be staged. Every shot had to be discovered — or, in this case, discarded. Using lightweight, mobile camera setups, the team stayed constantly ready to shoot, capturing moments whenever a mattress appeared unexpectedly on the street.

Over the course of two months, footage was gathered in a wide range of situations — filmed on foot, from a car, and even from a beach cruiser. This process-led, instinctive approach allowed the film to grow organically, shaped entirely by chance encounters and found moments.

The result is a tightly edited, 40-second branded content film for IKEA, built from real-world observations and spontaneous filmmaking — celebrating authenticity, movement, and the creative possibilities of working without a script.
